Starfield has been pretty disappointing for a lot of people, and the same can be said about the highly-marketed Constellation Watch that Bethesda included in the Collector's Edition of the game. It was meant to be a stylish piece of clothing for all the budding Starfield fans out there to proudly display on their wrists, but ended up breaking only a month after the game actually came out.
Now fans seem to be convinced that the watch only featured in Starfield so Bethesda actually had something it could stick in a Collector's Edition. This theory was shared by Reddit user TrevortheBatman with the Starfield subreddit, and there are plenty of people with the same opinion, as their post has racked up over 6.6k upvotes at the time of writing.
TrevortheBatman claims that the Constellation Watch is "nowhere near as impactful or iconic as the Pip-Boy", and that it's given to you at the start of the game and is "never seen again". Many have pointed out that the watch's interface is in the bottom corner of the screen while you're playing, but TrevortheBatman is taking issue with the fact that you don't actually see the physical watch in the game much, and that it was only shown at the beginning so Bethesda had something cool to stick in a Collector's Edition.
It's a sentiment shared by quite a lot of Starfield fans, who wish that the game would've had a Fallout-esque animation for whenever you go into the game's menus. Novapunk8675309 admits that they "completely forgot that thing existed", while Fun-Preparation-4253 says that rare comments about the watch from passing NPCs always catch them "off guard".
