The latest premium DLC pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 adds a playable dinosaur operator skin to the game. The skin is available from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in-game store, and is usable in both MW3 and Warzone.
Though the Call of Duty franchise is most famous for content that emphasizes a sense of realism and recreation of real-life military hardware and uniforms, recent years have seen a much greater emphasis on fanciful, even silly cosmetic add-ons. The game even celebrated April 20 with the addition of a stoner-themed Call of Duty Cheech and Chong crossover bundle, which added a playable «Stoney Sloth» operator skin.
The new dinosaur-themed Call of Duty add-on is called the Tracer Pack: CODasaurus Ultra Skin, and contains several cosmetic additions to bring some prehistoric power to the modern battlefield. The pack furthers the long history of multiplayer shooters and dinosaur gags, such as Battlefield and Dino Mode.
The CODasaurus pack is centered around Sickle, a playable skin for the operator Riptide, who also received a skin from the Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 battle pass. The skin replaces Riptide's appearance with a raptor-inspired dinosaur head. In keeping with recent discoveries in paleontology, the raptor's head also bears a small crown of red feathers. It also sports a backpack containing a dinosaur fetus.
Besides the dinosaur skin, the pack includes blueprints for a pair of popular weapons: The «Dino Might» TAQ Eradicator LMG and the «Pack Leader» Haymaker shotgun. The guns are decorated with dinosaur and reptile-themed embellishments, like scale-patterned furniture and special tracer and dismemberment visual effects. Other cosmetics include a weapon charm, a calling card, an emblem, and a large decal.
