Atari has revived the Infogrames publishing label, which will publish games that fall outside of Atari’s core portfolio of intellectual property, the company announced.
According to Atari, “Infogrames intends to actively manage its catalog of titles by expanding digital and physical distribution, and developing new collections and sequels.” Game preservation is a core component of its mission.
“For decades, Infogrames built a reputation as a publisher and developer of amazing and eclectic games, and we are excited to bring it back,” said Atari chairman and CEO Wade Rosen in a statement.
Infogrames will build its portfolio primarily through acquisition. Its portfolio may also include some of the legacy titles first published by Infogrames in the past.
The first title joining the portfolio of the revived Infogrames is Totally Reliable Delivery Service, which is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Previously published by tinyBuild, the intellectual property and game are now under the ownership of Infogrames.
