Vendors on China-based ecommerce website Alibaba have started selling accessories that are allegedly compatible with Nintendo ‘Switch 2’.
They include Switch 2 carry cases and screen protectors which, if genuine, would confirm previous reports that Nintendo’s next console will have a larger form factor than its current one.
Nintendo has yet to officially reveal its Switch successor, but the company has confirmed plans to do so during its current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025.

Peripheral makers are sometimes briefed on upcoming product releases in order to prepare stock for launch, but that’s not necessarily the case in this instance. The listings on Alibaba, which were spotted by Famiboards members, could just as easily be based on previous apparent leaks.
Alleged images of Nintendo’s Switch successor appeared online in September, showing a design that’s not too dissimilar from the company’s current-gen console.
While the images are unverified, one source, who had not seen the final Switch 2 console but had been briefed on Nintendo’s plans, told VGC that the pictures matched what the company had told partners to expect from its design.
The images were also in line with earlier reports on Switch 2’s design. Previously, publications including VGC reported that Switch’s successor would include a larger 8-inch screen, and a Nintendo patent suggested that it would be opting for a new magnetic attachment for its controllers.
