Nintendo and HAL Labs’ 2016 3DS platformer Kirby: Planet Robobot is reportedly set to release for Nintendo Switch next year.
That’s according to industry insider Nate the Hate, who has a track record of breaking stories prior to their official announcement.
“A game that’s one of my personal favorites will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2025,” they claimed. “That title is Kirby: Planet Robobot. It’s one of the best 3DS games to ever release, and it’s that type of title that I think Nintendo can continue to use as filler for Switch in 2025.”
Kirby: Planet Robobot is an action platformer game in which Kirby utilizes a mecha suit known as the Robobot Armor to solve puzzles and fight enemies. The game received favourable reviews, which praised its level design and variety.
Nintendo currently has multiple ports planned for release in 2025, Including Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and Xenoblade Chronicles X, as it prepares to launch its next-gen successor console and its own library of games.
Earlier this week, vendors on China-based ecommerce website Alibaba started selling accessories that are allegedly compatible with Nintendo ‘Switch 2’.
They include Switch 2 carry cases and screen protectors which, if genuine, would confirm previous reports that Nintendo’s next console will have a larger form factor than its current one.
