Albion Online Knightfall Update Adds a Dungeon to The Mists, Changes The Roads of Avalon, and Much More
Albion Online has released its new major Knightfall update, which expands The Mists, updates the Roads of Avalon, adds a new dungeon, rewards improvements, and more.
This update is Beyond the Veil patch number 8, and it is a major patch because of all the new features and changes it brings to the game. Changes to The Mists include the addition of caches, which offer individual loot for clearing mobs, coffers, which only appear to nearby players, and a new dungeon.
Knightfall Abbey, a new location described as “once a stronghold for Arthurian forces, but now holds the undead created with Excalibur’s destruction”. Which is good to know if you're about to enter a dungeon. if you can find the dungeon, that is. Knightfall Abbey’s entrance itself is something you’ll have to discover while you’re out there exploring. Appropriately, since the dungeon is in The Mists, the entrance will be available for a limited time, and the same windows and times apply as any other Mists location.
The dungeon has a new environment that lets you explore that past, but the structure of the place is intended to be different. Every room you clear will give you wealth or a buff that will help you fight enemies. There's also the possibility that another player will show up, but there are exits throughout the dungeon. This dungeon is also different because they don't have rarities, so the rewards distribution follows the same tiers as every other area in The Mists.
