Frictional Games has announced a fresh delay for Amnesia: The Bunker.
Originally scheduled to arrive on May 16, last month the game was delayed by one week, and it has now been pushed back by a further fortnight to June 6.
“The release of Amnesia: The Bunker has been delayed by two weeks due to unforeseen certification issues,” Frictional said. “This decision is crucial to ensure we do not ship the game with these issues.
“The extra time will allow us to rectify the problem and ensure the best possible gameplay experience upon release. We thank you for your understanding and patience.”
“The alternative would have been to ask the team to work weekends or nights, but that’s simply not something we do here at Frictional,” Fredrik Olsson, the creative lead on Amnesia: The Bunker, added in a video message announcing the game’s latest delay.

Announced in December, The Bunker is the fourth title in the Amnesia series of horror games.
“Players will walk the course of an ill-lighted WW1 bunker in the shoes of a French soldier troubled by his amnesia and hunted by an otherworldly creature,” according to Frictional.
The “semi-open world” game will differ from its predecessors in that the player will have a weapon, rather than the combat-free gameplay of the previous titles.
Amnesia: The Bunker will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.
