The wait for a Lords of the Fallen has been a long one. Developed by Deck13, the original came out nearly a decade ago, while its supposed successor has seen its fair share of development reboots and delays since then. This year, however, the series is set to enjoy more time in the sun with a complete reboot developed by Hexworks, and we might now also know when exactly to expect it.
Over on Twitter, @ALumia_Italia – a page that tracks the Xbox Store backend and any updates made to it – has claimed that Lords of the Fallen will be launching for PC and consoles on October 13 later this year.
The page doesn’t mention any specific timeframe for when developer Hexworks and publisher CI Games will be ready to announce the Soulslike action RPG’s release date, but if this leak is accurate, one would assume that new details on the game will begin rolling out at a much more steady and consistent pace in the coming weeks and months.
With events like Summer Game Fest, PlayStation Showcase, Xbox Games Showcase, and more set (or at least allegedly set, in PlayStation’s case) for the coming month, there’s obviously no shortage of showcases where the game could potentially take the stage.
Lords of the Fallen is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
