Dark fantasy action RPG Lords of the Fallen , both a successor to the 2014 original anda reboot of the franchise, is launching on Friday, October 13th.
With the launch date announcement comes an all-new trailer, showcasing lore and lots of combat gameplay. The nearly-four minute preview begins with a lore intro before going right into some of the brutality of the world and the gameplay. There are certainly no shortages of huge monsters, fire, or bloody strikes. The twisted creatures you’ll get to face are shown off, interspersed with brief switches to narrative moments on your journey to prevent the resurrection of Adyr.
The trailer features music by legendary metal band Iron Maiden set against the backdrop of fire giants, three-headed dragons, and a series of other horrors all over Mournstead.
It’s a big job, and there are going to be many things to get in your way as the Dark Crusader who has taken on this burden. The legions of Adyr, the Demon God, are plentiful, and the scale of some of these enemies is going to take some strategy. If you’re familiar withthe original game, the world and the two-realm mechanic central to the whole thing, then you already have an idea of what to expect. Since the original came out almost a decade ago, this serves as what the team is calling a spiritual successor but it is also serving as a reboot for the entire franchise.
