AEW: Fight Forever‘s Stadium Stampede battle royal mode has been teased in a new trailer.
The trailer shows 30 wrestlers spawning into a large stadium, filled with weapons and other items. As the match continues, the area in which wrestlers can fight gets smaller, eventually pushing all players into the center.
The mode is based on the Stadium Stampede matches that have taken place in AEW over the years, though these have mostly consisted of two teams of four wrestlers, rather than 30 individuals.
No release date for the mode has been given, however, it has been confirmed by THQ that the mode will be a free download.

In the short gameplay clips shown in the trailer, it appears that the mode will use a third-person camera angle that’s not typically present in the game.
AEW: Fight Forever is a spiritual successor to N64 classic WWE No Mercy, and is developed by veteran wrestling game studio Yuke’s.
VGC’s Chris Scullion wrote in our AEW game review: “AEW’s first game gets a lot more right than it does wrong.
“Its Story mode may be a little short and it may be lacking when it comes to customisation options, but its solid in-ring combat system, its sense of humour and its emphasis on violence make it a viable, edgier alternative to the glossy WWE 2K series.”
