Part 1 of Netflix's The Witcher Season 3 may have teased a war, but Part 2 will take fans to the frontlines of that war as Netflix released the final trailer for the remaining episodes just in time for the premiere on July 27.
Geralt's main focus is protecting the blossoming Witcher Ciri (Freya Allan) as he shows off once again his sword and sorcery skills against wave upon wave of foes...until his sword breaks. This will be Cavill's final outing as Geralt of Rivera with Liam Hemsworth taking over the role for Season 4. Check it out below.
Before Cavill bows out though, there is a lot to wrap up going into Season 4. You have Dijkstra and a shadowy group of sorcerers plotting a coup. Then you have Geralt and Yennefer discovering Vilgefortz who has been messing around with portals and warping minds of half-elven girls, trying to convince them that they are actually Princess Cirilla, who Geralt and Yennefer have been attempting to teach how to properly use her powers.
There's a moment in the trailer where we see Geralt lifelessly floating in a body of water with Cavill as Geralt narrating «There’s no coming back from this.»
Obviously, The Witcher will live on since the epic book series by author Andrzej Sapkowski puts Geralt through so much more, but this chapter of Netflix's The Witcher is officially coming to an end.
Netflix also has a few offshoot Witcher series The Witcher: Blood Origin, as well as an animated movie, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf with another animated movie in the works.
