The iPhone 15 launch is right around the corner and we have high expectations from the new A17 Bionic chip. The chip will be fabricated on TSMC's 3nm architecture, allowing it to bring major gains in computational and graphical performance while being more power efficient. The current A16 Bionic chip is based on a 5nm process which is well ahead of the competition and the jump to a 3nm process would probably blow the competition out of the water. Seemingly, a user has shared his predictions related to the A17 Bionic's benchmarks and how it will perform in single and multi-core scenarios.
It was recently speculated by a leaker that the A17 Bionic chip will feature a 6-core CPU and 6-core GPU. While the CPU cores are the same, the extra GPU core on the A17 Bionic will deliver a major difference in terms of graphics. The new chip will offer major performance gains while consuming less power, giving room for enhanced battery life on the iPhone 15 Pro. Now, YouTuber and Twitter user Vadim Yuryev shared his thoughts on what users should expect with the A17 Bionic chip in terms of Geekbench benchmarks.
According to Yuryev, the 3nm A17 Bionic chip on the iPhone 15 Pro will feature a single-core score of 2,890 and a multi-core score of 7,628. The single-core score shows a 51 percent increase in performance while the multi-core score shows almost a 40 percent increase in performance. If the numbers are close to what the A17 Bionic chip will have to offer, the performance gains are due to the 3nm architecture.
