Sonic Prime's second season has a bunch of references to the games, including some obvious ones to Sonic Adventure, and some more obscure ones to Sonic Unleashed and even the Sonic movie.
Sonic the Hedgehog has always been a very self-referential series, something that carried over to the first season of the Netflix show, Sonic Prime, with some of the notable references including Sonic's dance in Generations, the blue blur being called a "blue rabbit", and even little jabs to in-universe things like Sonic needing to collect rings.

Thankfully, this wink-and-a-nudge nature has transferred over to the second season of the show, with some easter eggs and shots that lean into the games a little more than in the first season. The second season may have just only released yesterday, but fans have already been spotting and sharing the best ones across social media, including some of the ones we'll highlight below.
Let's start off with an obvious one that was, of course, going to make it into Sonic Prime. In the fourth episode of the season, No Way Out, Sonic ends up chasing the pirate version of Knuckles, Dread, to try and get one of the Prism Shards. As he manages to knock it out of Dread's hands and into the air, he catches it and very briefly does the Sonic Adventure cover pose. It's an obvious reference, but a neat one.
Another reference to Sonic Adventure (well, Adventure 2) can be seen in the seventh episode of the season, Cracking Down. As pointed out by Twitter user acetails, in this episode, Shadow and Nine finally meet in person, which causes Nine to say that he and Sonic look like they could be twins.
