A new trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's fifth DLC pack, the Chaos of the World Tournament scenario from the original Dragon Ball series, has revealed that Goku, Tien, and any other playable characters won't be able to fly at all.
While we might not be getting any new information on Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 any time soon, Bandai Namco is at least giving us some DBZ goodness with a new trailer for the next DLC pack for Kakarot. This trailer was our first in-depth look at the DLC's gameplay and it revealed that the pack will make some unique changes to how the base game played.

The main change introduced in the DLC is that Goku and other playable characters won't be flying around and taking part in aerial combat like they do in the base game. Instead, all of the battles will focus strictly on ground combat, which means that there's a new focus on jumping, dodging, and blocking like never before. There does appear to be a little bit of aerial combat, but it's certainly not like the main game.
This is a choice that makes a lot of sense considering where this is in the timeline. In the original Dragon Ball manga, Goku's fight against Junior (or Piccolo as we now know him) was the first time that he was ever shown flying, something that drained him of his stamina and was something that he couldn't do too much. By Dragon Ball Z, he and everyone else has mastered the technique and can fly around with ease, but at this point, it's a new thing he can barely do, which makes it a smart change for the DLC.
