Now we want to hear Rick Grimes say «Negan is sus.»

The social deception genre made famous by games like Among Us is about to go undead, as Skybound and Other Ocean Interactive have announced The Walking Dead Betrayal, a new eight-player game based in The Walking Dead's zombie apocalypse.
The Walking Dead Betrayal sees eight players maintaining a settlement in rural Canada--gathering supplies, building houses and other structures, and more--as zombies infest the world around them. Some players, however, are hidden traitors, whose goal is to sabotage the settlement and bring it to ruin before being found out.
This new Walking Dead game is built on the same framework as Project Winter, Other Ocean's critically acclaimed social deception game from 2019. That game followed a similar eight-player format, with some members of the team tasked with messing things up for the rest of the group.
The Walking Dead Betrayal is the latest from Other Ocean, whose previous work includes indie hits like Stacking and IDARB, as well as collaborative efforts on games like Minecraft's New Nintendo 3DS Edition and the MediEvil remake for PlayStation 4.
The Walking Dead Betrayal has only been confirmed for a PC release via Steam in this initial announcement. Players can sign up for a closed beta test on the official Steam listing, with the test scheduled to begin August 10.
