Remnant 2 is chugging along, and based on the reception so far, it has a long future ahead of it. Not only is the game a hit commercially and critically, but the development team is also addressing multiple pain points due to player feedback, which you always love to see. A patch was just released on PS5, and like most of the patches before it (on any platform), there’s a lot to unpack. Here are the big takeaways.
Trophy/Achievement bugs are some of the most annoying glitches out there, especially if they only impact one or two seemingly small tasks. It’s not uncommon for AAA games to have a few bugged trophies, which can cause problems with the ever-present chase of Platinum status. Thankfully, this fix is retroactive, so your trophies should “ding” automatically. Note, however, that you will need to interact with the World Stone to pop some of them.
This update also comes alongside performance and crash improvements, which can be extremely crushing for a game like Remnant 2. I even went through some launch week crash woes on PC myself. That’s on top of a heap of precise bug fixes.
