Ross was served the notice from a subsidiary of KSI's boxing organization, evolving their social media arguments now to a potential legal battle if the match takes place.
A former Twitch streamer, Adin Ross has the fight scheduled on his Kick streaming calendar, and plans to host the event at his multi-million dollar warehouse in Miami. The fighters featured would be Nurideen Shahid Shabazz aka «Deen The Great» and Adam Saleh. Deen is the fighter whose contract is in question should the fight take place.
Legal representatives for Mifsits Boxing served Adin Ross this week. The lawsuit alleges that Deen would be breaching his contract with Misfits if the match is held. Ross immediately took to social media to respond. «They served me basically a notice. I got served today by Misfits. Misfits served me because they are insecure and they can't let me do my own thing. So that is crazy,» he said in a stream on Instagram Live. The documents themselves have not been revealed, and there has been no legal comment made public by either side. Ross had announced a boxing match on his Kick stream last year, but with the intention that he would be one of the fighters.
KSI tweeted a photo on Twitter of a laughing emoji pointing outward to troll Ross in response to the lawsuit. Following Ross's ban from Twitch, he turned his streaming passion to Kick, a competitor with fewer restrictions on what its users can say. His success on that platform has drawn a lot of criticism on social media.
Kick has also not publicly responded yet, and its involvement with the fight is mum, too. However, it is obvious that the company is impressed with Adin Ross's work, rewarding him with a Rolls-Royce for his last birthday. It is unknown if Ross is seeking legal counsel at this time.
