Our intrepid video producer Aaron has been incredibly busy these past few weeks, putting all kinds of games to the test on PS5 Pro.
The result of his adventures is this top ten list, made up of titles that have been given the most impressive upgrades on Sony's new system (so far).
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, for example, finally gets a 60 frames-per-second mode that isn't a blurry mess, while titles that were already well optimised on the base PS5, like God of War Ragnarok and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, benefit from a noticeable resolution boost — even when they're prioritising performance.
Sony said that the Pro would help blur the line between your typical 'fidelity' and 'performance' modes — and that's exactly what's happening when it comes to Marvel's Spider-Man 2, or Gran Turismo 7. In particular, these games stand out because they throw some superb ray tracing into the deal — all while maintaining a smooth 60fps.

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) is an assistant editor of Push Square, and has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.
Shame, I've already completed almost all of them on base PS5 and will hardly launch again this generation Except for Gran Turismo and NMS, probably.
Marvels Spiderman 2 and Rebirth are sublime on the pro. Almost starting to think it was worth the cost.
I'm not sure I need to play these on PS5 Pro when I in absolutely no way, shape, or form feel the need to spend $800 on this pointless console upgrade.
I have all it
