has seen Team Rocket take over multiple times, including in January 2025 where leaders like Sierra return for you to beat. Bringing the same team from the event from 2024, Sierra's team may be familiar to some trainers. However, recent events will allow you to pick new counters for this fight, giving you more ways to challenge this dangerous leader.
Defeating six Team Rocket Grunts allows you to build the Rocket Radar, which opens up a path toward a leader of the criminal organization. You have a 1 in 3 chance of finding Sierra through the Radar or the other leaders Cliff and Arlo in . Although you don't have a guaranteed chance of meeting Sierra, you should still be prepared to fight her team just in case.
Those who've participated in Shadow Raids in may recognize that Sierra also uses Shadow Pokémon to fight you. This should come as no surprise to anyone who has challenged Team Rocket leaders or Grunts in the past, who all tend to use these variants. Shadow Pokémon are dangerous foes, sporting more health and higher damage attacks than normal Pokémon you may be used to fighting against.
The Ke Ke Ke Ke Team Rocket Grunt once again brings an arsenal of Ghost-type Pokémon for you to beat in Pokemon GO for rare rewards in January 2025.
Sierra's fight is broken up into three waves, making this battle practically have multiple phases you have to persevere through. The first wave always has the same Pokémon from Sierra's team, no matter how many times you encounter her using the Rocket Radar. That being said, Sierra's second and third waves use one of three possible Pokémon, making it almost impossible to predict which pocket monster is coming next.
