Buying items in can be a lot of fun for decorating the island or player's home, giving gifts to villagers, and just trying to collect everything there is. The Nook Shopping in-game app includes some items that are always available, but also has a seasonal tab with a rotating selection of items that cannot be purchased anywhere else. These limited-time wares can include some fun and unique treasures, although sometimes they also have a hefty price tag associated with them, so players will want to make sure they have plenty of bells.

It is ordered from Nook Shopping for a cost of 3,200 Bells, and will give 0.5 development points towards the island's rating if placed outside.
Summer and Winter Solstice periods vary for players depending on whether their islands are located in the Northern or Southern Hemispheres. In the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice seasonal items are available from December 15 to 22 every year, whereas in the Southern Hemisphere it takes place June 15 to 21.
