Zenith: The Last City is getting PvP. The team made the announcement that player versus player combat is indeed one of the new features in the next major content patch, Skyward Summit.
While there still isn’t an exact release date for the update yet ( Ramen VR is opening a second alpha test on April 18th and inviting those who solve a challenge via their Discord ), what we do know is this is going to be a huge update. The Zenith team releases minor patches sometimes and adds features, but these major updates are called that for a reason. The only window we know at this time is Q2 2023.
So how will PvP work in the VR MMORPG? You’ll be able to engage in one on one and team duels when the patch is out. This is their first step into offering PvP, so these two modes will be the only ones at first, but they are looking into more options down the line.
In the announcement, shared via the PlayStation Blog, the Ramen VR team said that “We believe that the addition of PvP in Zenith is a significant update that opens up new gameplay opportunities for players. We’re excited to see how players will explore new tactics, test their strategies, and learn from their opponents. We’re confident that PvP will provide a thrilling and engaging experience for our players”. Zenith: The Last City , which wasa PlayStation VR 2 launch title, is adding both new ways to play and to compete.
Also coming in the new update is the long-awaited Cyber Ninja class. The team has shared short previews for the patch over social media before, showing the new class wielding a bow and kamas.
