Ada Wong has been at the centre of Resident Evil 4 discussions of late. Unfortunately, it's to do with the harassment faced by the character's voice actor, Lily Gao. The actor has been receiving a lot of hate from idiots, because they think the remake has made the character too "woke". The character will probably be returning in the Separate Ways DLC, which hasn't been officially announced.
However, we recently learnt that Ada Wong was considered for a role in Resident Evil Village. Concept art included with the DLC revealed that "Early plans had a mysterious masked person that saves Ethan. This was going to be Ada Wong investigating the village, but this was cut due to a number of conflicting scenarios". And so, fans have been discussing her possible role.

Over on r/residentevil, fans have been discussing what Wong would have been up to, had her character actually made it to the game. While many comments were jokes about her flirty nature, others think that she could have played a big enough role. There were a few interesting theories about her involvement.
"Act all mysterious. Try to get a sample of something. Hit on Leon. Yeah I know Leon wasn't in 8, but Ada would still find a way to hit on him," joked xvszero, based on the character's earlier depictions. However, others were disappointed not to see Wong in a self-contained story that didn't involve Leon.
