It appears that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom uses the Sonic Adventure spin-dash sound effect when activating a Zonai fan, or at least a sound effect that sounds remarkably familiar.
In all your time playing through Tears of the Kingdom and messing around with Zonai equipment, you might have heard a sound effect that rings a bell. Interestingly, it seems that Nintendo has used the same sound effect that was used for the spin dash in Sonic Adventure for the sound of the Zonai fan activation.

As pointed out by @super_ult on Twitter, the sound of the Zonai fan being hit and activating sounds remarkably similar to the one used in Sonic Adventure when Sonic does a spin dash. To prove this, the user shared two clips of the sounds in question, and while I am no audio expert, they do sound very similar. Although the sound in Zelda is very faint and easily missed unless you're listening for it, it certainly sounds familiar.
Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed by Nintendo, so it is hard to know if this is the same exact sound. Still, it is interesting to hear an iconic Sonic sound, or at least a similar sound, pop up in such a massive game like Tears of the Kingdom.
Surprising absolutely no one, Tears of the Kingdom has proven to be the massive hit we all knew it would be. The game has been out only a day and has consumed the Internet with memes, Easter eggs, and how-to guides.
