Samba de Amigo: Party Central, Sega’s revival of their classic Dreamcast-era rhythm game, has been appropriately set for a Summer release ever since its announcement. Today, though, we finally have a concrete release date for the game, and it turns out that the game will be coming out at the end of August. So Samba de Amigo’s comeback will arrive at the end of summer, but still summer nonetheless. Accompanying this news is the reveal of the game’s full soundtrack over at its official site, as well as the reveal of a Digital Deluxe Edition with some Sega-themed extras.
On top of the full game, the Digital Deluxe Edition will include five extra costumes inspired by Sonic and Tails, Space Channel 5, Super Monkey Ball, and Puyo Puyo, and two bonus DLC music packs. Those consist of a Sonic Music DLC Pack featuring “Open Your Heart” from Sonic Adventure, “Reach For The Stars (Re-Colors)” from Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and “I’m Here” from Sonic Frontiers, and a Sega Music DLC Pack consisting of “Bakamitai (Taxi Driver Edition)” and “Go Go Cheer Girl!” from Space Channel 5: Part 2, as well as “Rhythm Thief Theme” from Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure. No word yet if this DLC will also be available to purchase separately later on, but Samba de Amigo: Party Central should still hopefully provide some amazing rhythm in either its Standard or Deluxe edition when it arrives for the Switch on August 29, with both edition available for pre-order as of today as well.
