Despite sharing a name, there aren't many similarities to be found between the Spanish Inquisition, and the Inquisition in Dragon Age. Sure enough, they are both religious organisations that aim to uphold the faith and root out perceived "evil", but Dragon Age's definition of evil is less racist, xenophobic, and torturous, and more focused on killing the literal demons that are falling out of the sky. Needless to say, it's hard to confuse the two.
Well, maybe it is pretty hard, as a big-budget horror movie managed to get them completely mixed up. Cinemagoers have noticed that The Pope's Exorcist, a horror movie starring Russell Crowe, frequently mistakes a symbol from Dragon Age: Inquisition for the sigil of the Spanish Inquisition. Either that or someone on the prop team just really wanted to sic EA's lawyers on Sony Pictures.

As spotted by Kotaku, viewers can't get over this cock up, amazed that such a huge film could make such a dire mistake. Particularly for a film that is literally about the Catholic church, and features references to the Spanish Inquisition incredibly prominently.
But as you can see in the picture below, there's no mistaking it: someone really did just get the two logos mixed up. Well, either that, or they decided that Dragon Age's take on the Inquisition's sigil just looked cooler, something many of us would agree with. Seriously, the real one sucked, but that's pretty fitting.
