With the street date for the Pyra and Mythra amiibo approaching (July 21), Nintendo managed to update Xenoblade Chronicles 3 right on the cusp of that dual-figure release. Version 2.1.0 is now live, and it adds in amibo functionality for the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 duo, which arrives in the form of cosmetic sword skins (two forms of the Aegis Sword). To the delight of many Nintendo has been pulling back hard requirements for amiibo unlocks, so there is another way: to acquire them in-game, you’ll need to head to the Llyn Nyddwr Camp in the Fornis region and speak to the Nopon Miibomii.
The new amiibo additions are the main event, but there are also a few bug fixes for the recent Future Redeemed DLC. You can check out the full patch notes below!
Remember that there’s more Xenoblade amiibo on the way, as Noah and Mio were recently announced.
