But ahead of that, leaked specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series have surfaced, revealing some exciting improvements compared to its predecessor.
The leaked specs, shared by renowned leaker SnoopyTech, indicated that the new Galaxy Watch 6 models will boast larger displays and slimmer bezels, potentially enhancing the overall user experience during the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event.Unfortunately, the images of the alleged specs sheet have since been taken down, likely due to Samsung's efforts to clamp down on leaks.
Among the noteworthy modifications, it appears that the 40mm model will have a 1.31-inch OLED display, while the 44mm variant will have a 1.47-inch OLED display. This is a step up from the 1.2-inch and 1.4-inch displays found in the Galaxy Watch 5. Furthermore, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic model may be available in 43mm and 47mm sizes, with the same enlarged display sizes.
The display resolutions are expected to see improvements as well. The 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 and 43mm Galaxy Watch 6 models are rumored to have resolutions of 432 x 432 pixels, while the 44mm and 47mm variants may feature 480 x 480 pixels. This represents an enhancement over the 396 x 396 and 450 x 450 resolutions found in the Galaxy Watch 5's 40mm and 44mm models, respectively.
