Sony has released the highlights of last week’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 San Diego Comic-Con panel.
Titled ‘Symbiotic Relationships’, the panel offered “a behind-the-scenes look at Insomniac Games’ take on the monstrous Venom, what’s new in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and how the symbiote plays a role in the sequel”.
Publisher Sony has condensed the hour-long panel into a 16-minute highlights video, which is viewable below.

Representing Insomniac Games on the panel were senior creative director Bryan Intihar, senior game director Ryan Smith, senior narrative director Jon Paquette, and senior art director Jacinda Chew.
They were joined by actors Yuri Lowenthal (Peter Parker), Nadji Jeter (Miles Morales), Laura Bailey (Mary Jane Watson) and Tony Todd (Venom), plus Marvel Games VP and creative director Bill Rosemann.
Insomniac premiered a new Spider-Man 2 story trailer during the panel, showing off Venom in action for the first time.
It also revealed a Spider-Man 2 limited edition PS5 bundle featuring a custom console cover design and matching DualSense wireless controller, which will launch in September, ahead of the Spider-Man 2 release date of October 20, 2023.
Sony released the first Spider-Man 2 gameplay video in May, revealing several new features as well as another key villain, Kraven the Hunter.
It’s thought that Insomniac may be working on a third unannounced title, in addition to Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine.
