Spider-Man 2 is launching on October 20, 2023, with Wolverine set to follow in Fall 2024. Insomniac is hard at work, but it has even more up its sleeve with an unannounced triple-A game as confirmed by project director Erin Eberhardt.
There are a few clues already on what this game might be--Venom actor Tony Todd tweeted in February, "Just booked another significant voiceover for you know who #DevourThis", which many took to mean that he was reprising his role as a certain gooey symbiote monster. He also said at San Diego Comic-Con that he has another project in the works, lining up with his tweet. With Insomniac confirming it has a third game in development, a Venom spin-off looks more possible than ever.

At least, that's what fans think, as many quickly took the news to mean that Insomniac is working on another Spider-Man spin-off of a similar scope to Miles Morales. That would explain how the studio is juggling three games at once after having just launched two Spider-Man games, a remaster, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. However, based on an earlier job listing and Eberhardt's credentials, it's likely that this unannounced game is a multiplayer project, not a Venom spin-off.
Before Eberhardt joined Insomniac in 2021, she was at Blizzard for nearly four years as an esports senior project manager and lead project manager, specifically for World of Warcraft and Hearthstone. It's possible that she's using this expertise for her new project at Insomniac, something backed up by last year's job listing for an art director.
