The world of Middle Earth is set to experience a host of new changes as the Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) rolls out Update 37. This update will bring some big changes to the Guardian class, and players will get to test all of the upcoming changes on the Bullroarer server, now open for testing. Here's a comprehensive look at what's in store for the class.
A New Era for the Guardian Class
The Guardian class, known for its resilience and protective abilities, is set to undergo a series of changes aimed at enhancing gameplay and balance. This isn't the first time that the Guardian, and all classes, have gone through a kind of, refresh either, with the developers often working towards better overall balance and synergy between the classes over the past several years. As mentioned in a previous post, this time around, there will be significant changes to how Mainstats are handled. Here’s what players can expect from the Guardian class changes.
Main Stats Overhaul
The main stats, which include Might, Agility, Will, Vitality, and Fate, have been revamped across all classes. For the Guardian, these stats have been tailored to enhance role-specific secondary stats.
Skill Modifications
The skill «Turn the Table» has been modified to be more versatile. It no longer requires the Guardian to be under a combat state effect and can be used without a target, affecting up to three targets within a 6m radius.
Specialization Trees
Changes have been made to the Guardian's specialization trees. The «Fighter of Shadow» specialization has been transformed into a utility line, with traits in the yellow line now costing a base of 1 trait point when specialized in either «Defender of the Free» or «The Keen Blade».
