Another week, another chance to save serious amounts on the games worth buying. Today the theme seems to be violence — fighting game prices everywhere are getting [upper]cut to size. I'd also like to flag the first decent discount on Aliens: Dark Descent. It's got my pick as the sleeper hit of 2023. Absolutely nails the intensity of James Cameron's Aliens.
In historical news, it's been 32 years to the day since Aussies first met the blue dude with the 'tude. Yep, Sonic the Hedgehog spindashed to stardom on CRTs everywhere. This prompted much critical acclaim and the first major conversations about gaming / light-induced seizures. Chalk that up to too much 'blast processing' or simply Sega doing what Nintendidn't, I guess.
