Leaked images of the back of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon's box have seemingly confirmed that the game's PVP mode will feature up to six players at once.
We're just one month away from the long-awaited release of Armored Core 6, but FromSoftware has so far been pretty cagey about the game's multiplayer mode. It was confirmed around the time the game was announced that there wouldn't be a cooperative mode, but that it would feature a PvP arena similar to other entries in the series.

What wasn't confirmed at the time, however, was how many players would be able to take part in the PvP mode. While FromSoft still hasn't officially confirmed those details, it appears that it'll support up to six players at one time, with three able to spectate, if a leaked image of the back of the game's box art is to be believed.
As highlighted on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, Twitter user Ziostorm1 shared an image of the back of the game's box art that seems to have started popping up at certain retailers in Japan. The text on the back of the box notes that it supports up to six players online but, strangely, that you can also invite three other players to spectate.
It's not clear why it's such a specific number of spectators or why this needs to be illustrated in the first place, but it's an interesting note nonetheless and hopefully something that FromSoft details a bit more clearly before the game launches.
As for the six-players who can actively play the game, it's not made clear what kind of modes or teams are going to be available, but we have to imagine that there will be 3v3 mode at the very least, which would explain why it's a maximum of six players.
