There are many things in our modern era of gaming that we have to look forward to, but there are just as many things to dread. One of the biggest ones for the latter that gamers are constantly dealing with is that leaks and spoilers almost always drop before the release of a AAA title. Sometimes it’s only small things, but other times it can be significant items or reveals that can ruin a gamer’s experience. If you don’t believe us, ask The Pokemon Company about the leaks they’ve dealt with. But now, it’s Bethesda and Starfield’s turn to deal with such problems.
Although Starfield doesn’t come out until next month, there are places where you can find spoilers and leaks right now. Resetera is one such place. Some people have already pre-downloaded the game and have been able to datamine some information out of it. Some people are finding out spoilers through other means and posting them online. It’s gotten so bad that the social media team for an entirely different game came out to warn about the leaks:
Hey all. There's a bad actor mentioning EVERSPACE who is using multiple accounts to spoil a Starfield plot point. For folks wanting to avoid that we recommend muting the phrase "you battle Aliens who are".
As for what has been leaked already, without going into major spoilers, some of the abilities your character can get have been leaked alongside some of the enemies you fight and other story beats. You can also find leaks of the game’s main screen, the names of the songs in the soundtrack, and more.
