Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is out this time next month, and in typically iron-clad FromSoftware fashion, we know shockingly little about it. This is a welcome reprieve in a year in which nothing is seemingly sacred, and everything leaks in advance.
That said, in what is technically not a leak, pictures of the game box taken in Japanese storefronts emerged on Reddit over the weekend. They suggest that Fires of Rubicon's PvP multiplayer will support 2-6 players, with space for three spectators.
FromSoftware has previously confirmed that the game won't feature cooperative gameplay, a rarity for the developer, with 2019's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice one of few other examples outside the series. No mainline Armored Core game has ever featured co-op, in fact, being strictly PvP in mindset. The original 1997 PS1 classic featured split-screen versus, or via the PlayStation Link Cable if you were fancy.
