Apple Potentially Testing M3 Mac mini with an 8-Core CPU and 10-Core GPU With 24GB of RAM For Enhanced Performance

Apple will host another event after the announcement of its iPhone 15 lineup and Apple Watch Series 9. The event could take place in October or November timeframe and the main highlight of the event will be the new M3 chip. We have previously heard that Apple will launch a few of its upgraded Macs later this year with the forthcoming M3 chip. The company is continuously working to test new Macs which will be upgraded with the new processor. The latest suggests that Apple is testing a new version of the Mac mini with the new M3 chip.

We have previously created a list of all the Macs that could be upgraded this year with the M3 chip. However, the Mac mini is not on the list. According to Mark Gurman in his new edition of the Power On newsletter, new Macs have surfaced on the third-party developer logs which includes a plethra of Macs that the company is working on. Apple will potentially announce the M3 MacBook Air models, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and iMac later this year. However, the high-end MacBook Pro models and Mac mini could be announced next year. This is because the Mac mini now comes with upgraded internals like the M2 Pro chip. Since the company will not unveil the M2 Pro chip until next year, it makes sense to launch the machine alongside the high-end MacBook Pro models. However, the company could unveil the Mac mini with an M3 chip later this year, keeping the M3 Pro variant for next year.
