After an entire year, Samsung is expected to unveil the Exynos 2400, which is said to be found in some Galaxy S24 models. Though it may not compete with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Dimensity 9300, its launch may help Samsung save on component costs when officially unveiling its 2024 flagship family. Coming to the specifications rumor, there is a ton of information shared, so let us get into the details immediately.

The new Exynos SoC is said to feature a 10-core CPU which will be divided into the ‘1 + 2 + 3 + 4’ cluster, according to AnTuTu. This suggests that the chipset will have a single Cortex-X4 core running at a frequency of 3.10GHz, though an earlier rumor claimed that some tweaking allowed the Cortex-X4 to run at 3.20GHz. It is unconfirmed if the higher frequency will be chosen by default for the super core, but it is something that we will keep our eyes open.

Complementing the 10-core CPU is the new Xclipse 940 GPU, which will once more be based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture. Compared to the Xclipse 920, the successor is rumored to feature twice the number of compute units. However, keep in mind that just because the Xclipse 940 may have double the compute units, it does not mean it will be twice as fast as Xclipse 920, so that is something to keep in mind.

Thankfully, Samsung’s new 4nm architecture should bring certain improvements in performance and efficiency to the point that the Exynos 2200 appears like a faded memory in comparison to the Exynos 2400.
