It’s been an interesting little week in the gaming world, and with GDC going on over in San Fransisco there’s all sorts of interesting things happening, new deals being made, and the first glimpses of a bunch of new games to salivate over in the coming months.
Steve has been hammering Resident Evil 4 Remake. He’s down to the extreme difficulty ones which look next to impossible in terms of time restrictions. He says, “I’m looking forward to seeing how speed runners get the time down even if my aged skills may prevent me replicating them for the platinum.” He continues, “Alongside that I played a preview build of the promising Candle Knight and picked up Have a Nice Death and Vernal Edge for some roguelike and Metroidvania indie fun.”
Nick P has also been on Capcom’s horror wagon beginning by playing the original Resident Evil 4 in prep for the remake. On the side, he hit Infinite rank in Marvel Snap (seriously impressive) and played a bit more Dead by Daylight.
While he’s had a busy patch at work, Nic B played Tchia for review, and disappointingly came away from it a little disappointed. He told us, “I also tried some It Takes Two with my fiancé, but she’s not an avid gamer and it was surprisingly tough! So, I settled on the the usual Pokémon Go and Marvel Snap. Good games, would recommend.”
Aran has been playing Midnight Suns and that is it! He’s really enjoying it! Meanwhile Jim has played more Wo Long this week, saying, “I continue to enjoy it despite a pesky PS5 bug that has reset my stage progress on more than one occasion. Enjoying Team Ninja’s take on historical characters who have appeared throughout my gaming life thanks to the Dynasty Warriors franchise”. He’s also been playing lots of Marvel Snap. “I’m only rank
