Resident Evil 4 fans think that Leon Kennedy's iconic blonde locks might actually be dyed, as a close inspection using the photo mode reveals that he has brown roots.
Resident Evil 4 remake's Leon might not be quite as quippy as he was in the original game, but even when he's a little bit more serious, he's still one of the series' best (and most popular) protagonists. This is mostly because of his massive amounts of twink energy, with his lame jokes, excellent backflips, and beautiful blonde locks. It seems he might have been faking one of those things, however.

Over on the Resident Evil subreddit, Redditor gpmegaman made a shocking discovery - everyone's favourite agent apparently isn't a natural blonde. According to the post, the remake version of Leon has brown roots, which means that likely dyes his hair dirty blonde and is a natural brunette. I know, I can't look at him the same way either.
You might expect Resident Evil fans to be surprised, but one of the top comments on the post points out that Leon's haircut probably isn't government regulation as it is, even ignoring the colour of it. Another comment points out that, "The dude can parry a chainsaw with a knife, they probably let him wear whatever the fuck he wants". Fair enough.
Not everyone is so convinced that Leon Kennedy dyes his hair in the remake, though. Several Redditors point out that his hair could simply be changing colour as he ages, while others suggest that it could just be getting sunbleached. Personally, as much as these theories make sense, my head-canon is now always going to be that twinky Leon Kennedy just has to dye his hair dirty blonde before going on a mission.
