There's a big difference between a level cap of 25 and 250, however, so it can be useful to know which end of the spectrum ultimately falls closer to, in order to have a good understanding of progression.
Leveling up in isn't an especially hard task, as most activities tend to grant some experience points. Whether crafting items, crawling dungeons, or capturing Pals, the character's level should keep moving up steadily. Pals also have their own experience points, and keeping Pals in the active party while exploring is the best way to raise their stats. Although 's combat isn't turn-based like , taking on enemies and especially bosses with a party will still share experience among them for quick leveling.
The maximum level that a character can attain in is Level 50, a substantial number that's still much lower than the sum of 100 in or 135 in Getting to 50 can take some time, even for those who have been thoroughly sucked into the gameplay loop of. Perhaps the best way to gain experience quickly is to catch duplicates of Pals, as the experience gained from repeated captures actually grows each time rather than decreasing.
Pal levels in follow the same basic rule as the playable character does, with levels ultimately maxing out at 50 for any individual Pal.
