Assassin's Creed Mirage fans have received an unexpected update to the title, featuring the launch of an all-new game mode and a plethora of other features. This is Assassin's Creed Mirage's first major update after Update 1.0.6, which was released a couple of months back and added New Game Plus alongside several other things.
The Assassin's Creed franchise has witnessed several changes over the years, with Origins marking an inflection point for the series. While the RPG elements blended with the stealth mechanics managed to carve out its own niche, diehard fans were still looking for a game that echoed the soul of the franchise. With Assassin's Creed Mirage, the series once again went back to its roots, embracing a more linear experience than its recent predecessors. Despite Assassin's Creed Mirage garnering mixed reception from the community, the developers have been actively releasing updates for the game.
As part of its latest update, Ubisoft Bordeaux is making a series of changes to the title, most notable of all being the all-new Full Synchronization Challenge. Also known as the permadeath mode, it will allow players to partake in a ruthless experience where dying or even committing illegal actions like killing citizens would mean that they will have to start the game all over again. Basically, any act that desynchronizes them from the Animus will also delete their saved file as well. This mode will only be available for new playthroughs, and Assassin's Creed Mirage's cross-progression/cloud saves features will be disabled for this mode.
Depending on which difficulty players complete the Full Synchronization challenge, the rewards can be quite lucrative, ranging from new emblems to the Rayhan costume, new dyes, and much more.
