Nintendo has announced that it will be hosting the first Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase of the year. Set for February 21 at 6am PT, the company will feature around 25 minutes of third-party games for the Nintendo Switch. As is the tradition with Nintendo’s Directs, the Partner Showcase will be shown on the company’s own YouTube channel.
The company hasn’t officially confirmed what games will be shown off at the Direct, nor has it revealed which publishers and developers will be appearing. It is also worth noting that, since it’s a Partner Showcase, there won’t be any first-party Nintendo Switch titles like Princess Peach: Showtime!, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, or Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door showcased.
The announcement comes after recent rumours indicating that it would take place this week. Previous leaks indicated a much earlier air date for the Direct, with it reportedly being set for some time between February 12 and 15. Reports have indicated, however, that the Direct was pushed back to accommodate for Xbox’s recent business update podcast.
