Well-received comedy sports game What the Golf? is coming to PlayStation consoles next month.
Developed and published by Copenhagen, Denmark-based Triband, it’s billed as a “silly physics-based golf parody where every level invents a new definition of golf”.
It was originally released in September 2019 as an Apple Arcade launch title and won the 2020 Game Developers Choice Award for the best mobile title.
A PC release followed in October 2019 before the game made its way to Nintendo Switch in 2020. It has scores of 79 (iOS), 83 (PC) and 84 (Switch) on review aggregations site Metacritic.
“The PS5 version features fully optimised DualSense support in case you have wondered what it feels like to golf a house, a car or a planet,” Triband said in a press release.
“It also brings over 300 levels, including plenty of previously released updates like the Among-Us inspired Among Golf! More updates are on the way too!”
What the Golf? will be released for PS4 and PS5 on March 14, 2024. It’s available to wishlist now, but its PlayStation Store page doesn’t currently list pricing.
Sony has today heavily discounted PS5 Slim in Europe for the first time. It’s knocked €75 off the price of the console, which launched last March, but some retailers are offering even greater savings.
