These Medallions can be acquired from NPCs at select points of interest, and they provide players with a regenerative shield, but there's a key drawback. When carrying a Medallion, players can be tracked on the map and the mini-map as a yellow circle if they're close enough to others. Throughout Chapter 5 Season 1, the Medallions provided less shield regeneration, but their visibility wasn't adjusted. Now that Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has commenced, much of the community is calling for improvements to the Medallion indicator circles.

However, the yellow circle indicators are significantly more faded than the ones related to Bounty targets, and in certain landscapes, they're barely visible to some players.
