With new items introduced in each season, there are also ones that get unvaulted after being away for a while. The latest Battle Pass and island are themed around a select group of Greek gods. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 includes numerous fresh additions, including powers themed around these Greek gods. These include the Chain of Hades, Thunderbolt of Zeus, and Wings of Icarus. While two of these are powerful damage dealers, one is the latest movement improvement. One Reddit user has highlighted a key detail with the Wings of Icarus that makes them even more helpful than originally perceived.
Reddit user KaktitsM recently posted a Fortnite image focusing on Aphrodite remaining airborne utilizing the Wings of Icarus. According to the Reddit user, regardless of how high a player soars with the wings, there will be no fall damage. This includes simply having the wings selected, allowing players to fall from incredible heights around the map safely if they rotate through their equipped items to the Wings of Icarus before landing. Due to how important movement is in the game, this could provide an advantage to players with the wings equipped, particularly in Fortnite build mode where battles often result in tall structures being made. Simply having the Wings of Icarus selected won't burn through its charge, allowing players to preserve energy to soar around the map at an opportune time.
