Lego Hints At Dungeons & Dragons Set Via Gelatinous Cube Teaser

If you prefer being given the tools to create your own adventure rather than being told a story that has already been written, then you're likely a fan of Dungeons & Dragons. There's a strong chance you're pretty into Lego too, something else that lets your imagination run wild, just through builds rather than storytelling. Worlds rooted in encouraging players to use their imagination, and 50 years on from D&D's inception, it and Lego and finally teaming up for what will be a very special collaboration.

Lego teased something D&D related is coming to its world soon as the roleplaying game's 50th-anniversary celebrations continue. Both Lego and D&D are keeping their cards close to their chests for the time being, though. All we have to go on is the very first teaser for the set shared by Lego which shows a skeleton Minifigure, sword, key, and other D&D Lego items. However, the skeleton and all of the other items are suspended in a gelatinous cube.

One person was bold enough to simply ask Lego when and where they can buy the upcoming D&D set and actually got a reply. However, it provided no additional information. Lego simply rolled the dice for an investigation check, which failed, and told the fan to stay tuned. The biggest clue of all hinting at what D&D's Lego crossover will look like actually comes at the end of the very short teaser via confirmation that the upcoming set was born from the Lego Ideas program.

This collaboration has been in the works for a while in anticipation of D&D's 50th birthday. Lego ran a competition through its Ideas program in 2022, inviting D&D fans to create their own sets, choosing a winner that would eventually go from concept to reality. After declaring BotBuild's Dragon's Keep: Journey's End set victorious, which you can check out below, Lego confirmed it would be a part of D&D's anniversary celebrations.
