Wanderstop has just received a PS5 release date of 11th March, 2025, thanks to this new trailer.
The game comes from Ivy Road, a studio headed up by Davey Wreden — best known for The Stanley Parable and PC title The Beginner's Guide. Wreden talks over this new trailer for the game, which is by-and-large a cosy sim-style game about making tea.
However, as he explains, producing a cosy game as a tonic after toiling away at his previous work didn't quite go as expected, the result being a story weaving in themes relating to his real life feelings and experiences.
In other words, yes, this is a cute game about farming resources and serving up tea in your shop, but it's also about a character who'd rather not be doing that at all. It seems to be subverting the idea of a cosy game by introducing what sounds like a fairly hard-hitting, personal narrative between all the tranquil tasks.
The game itself looks decent, but we're definitely now more interested in the story it'll be telling when it arrives in a few months.

Wow. As somebody in a similar situation this video just caught me of guard and brought tears to my eyes.
