Returning to is rather difficult after playing the more polished for so long, and there are many reasons for that steep shift in difficulty between these versions. While there might be a fair bit of nostalgia related to for many players, the reality of returning to the original might be a bit harder than expected. Unlike, was designed as a much more difficult game, and it's easy to forget just how difficult it was after being spoiled by newer versions.
, when it first released, was rather clunky and included features that new games haven't had in years now. To an extent, these missing features in could add more drama and ramp up the difficulty, but there are also plenty of features that has that never made it to, such as universities and many life stages. For anybody who returns to, these forgotten features might be rather jarring.

Even if EA never intends to remake the older games, it would be great to have them patched and re-released to make them somewhat accessible.
