PlayStation Plus has announced another crop of games coming to the service in February 2025. A service for PS4 and PS5 players, PS Plus allows subscribers to access online gaming functionality. As an added bonus, it also includes (usually) three free games per month. At its higher tiers, Extra and Premium, players are also granted access to a persistent Game Catalog, featuring hundreds of titles available for play at no additional cost. Games are occasionally added to or removed from the Catalog as well.
This month's reveal of the three Essential games comes along with the announcement of PS Plus' shift away from the PS4. While in previous months, the service typically made a point of releasing free PS4 titles alongside PS5 games, it'll have a greater focus on PS5 exclusives in 2026. However, there are still plenty of great PS4 games to come, including two this month alongside one PS5 exclusive, as per usual.
