Tokyo Game Show kicks off on September 26th, with various publishers like Square Enix, Konami, Bandai Namco, and Microsoft hosting various streams with announcements. Unfortunately, one publisher won’t have an online stream, and that’s Ubisoft.
It revealed on Twitter (translation via Genki) that due to “various circumstances,” it would not participate in the official Tokyo Game Show 2024 broadcast. Further details weren’t provided, but it means no gameplay for titles like Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft Japan is still an exhibitor at the show, so hands-on footage or even post-show gameplay is still possible, but temper those expectations.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches on November 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC (with Gold and Ultimate Edition owners receiving three days early access). Ubisoft released a trailer showcasing the various gorgeous locations that players would visit – check it out here.
Unfortunately, the development team confirmed that seasons wouldn’t negatively impact the gameplay but result in slightly different character animations. You can learn more about it here.
