Capcom is still making fairly significant improvements to Dragon's Dogma 2's technical performance on PS5, if some players are to be believed.
The game's latest update dropped overnight, and while the official patch notes don't mention actual performance enhancements, fans think that the open world RPG is running better than ever.
To be clear, the patch notes simply mention that in the game's options menu, the available graphics modes have been renamed 'Prioritize Graphics' and 'Prioritize Performance'. Capcom's also provided a table that shows resolutions and frame rates for both modes.
But again, some players — particularly on Reddit — are convinced that the frame rate has been given a noticeable boost. The developer says it sits between 50 and 60 frames per second when you 'Prioritize Performance' (at 1728p resolution), while 'Prioritize Graphics' gets you between 30 and 40 frames per second (at 2160p).
We've just booted the game up ourselves, and performance does seem to be relatively smooth — but having not played Dragon's Dogma 2 for quite some time, our impressions may not be totally accurate.
Still, it's clear that Capcom's done a lot to improve performance on PS5 over time. The title runs far better than it did at launch back in March. Now we just need that DLC announcement!

So basically a locked 60 on the Pro?
HELL YEAHHHHH
